When ChatGPT first came to the market and was made open to users, the whole thing really felt like a sci-fi movie to me. At that time, AI was not as advanced as it is now. But the thing that I found most terrifying was the rapid pace of development in AI technology. AI has the ability to learn and make decisions on its own, and in the future, if it goes on in an unchecked manner, it could truly become the biggest danger for humanity.

Why are people worried about AI?
In the beginning, when AI was emotionless, people did not have much worry about it. Currently, AI cannot be called completely emotionless. Besides, people are getting involved in cyber crime by using AI if they want. In other words, our dream AI of a time has now actually turned into a nightmare for us. Maybe many still do not have much concern about this.
Mainly in recent times, through multiple essays and interviews, Dario Amodei, where he says that due to the rapid increase in technological power, humans may at one point lose control over AI systems. He warns that if advanced AI is developed in an uncontrolled manner, it could become a cause of existential crisis or extreme danger for all humanity. He also says - in US Congress hearings and various written statements, he has stated that more powerful AI models can create opportunities for misuse in making biological weapons, cyber attacks, and destroying complex infrastructure.
Besides, OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman, in a US Senate hearing, he directly said that if this technology goes in the wrong path, irreparable damage can be caused to society and the economy. Which is making ordinary people anxious about its use and safety.

2.Misinformation and Manipulation
Through deepfake videos, audio, and AI hallucinations, false information can be easily created and spread. This makes it possible to influence election processes, alter public opinion, or damage someone's personal reputation. By creating deepfake videos or fake images, women are the ones who face harassment the most (in my personal opinion).
3.Bias
Since AI models are trained on datasets created by humans, human biases present in the data also seep in. As a result, discriminatory decisions can arise in hiring processes, healthcare, and the justice system against specific genders, races, or marginalized communities. This is one of the biggest weaknesses of current AI. In certain cases, it can even be quite dangerous.
4.Cybersecurity Threats
Security risks have been found in most websites created entirely with AI. Because of this, the data of users who create accounts on these types of websites can end up in hackers' hands at any time. Besides, it has recently been observed that some AI models independently launch cyberattacks against other websites during training. Moreover, the risk of cyberattacks being carried out using AI remains present both now and in the past.
5.Job Losses
Due to the rapid advancement of AI automation, the job market for many roles is gradually shrinking. Furthermore, various organizations have already begun using AI agents instead of human workers. In the future, the demand for manual labor may also decline because of humanoid AI robots.

The question is quite simple: what should we do now? Over time, even more advanced technology may arrive. However, we must always prioritize protecting our personal data and ensuring that technology does not end up controlling us. Whether future AI turns into a danger for us depends on how much control we maintain over AI technology. Therefore, I urge you to use AI while keeping your own security in mind.
